Goodbye

To the Luxor light that sits 5 miles directly in front of my drive way.

To my favorite 2 sentences: “I’m 5 miles east of the strip. Just on the other side of MGM Grand.”

To living off a highly recognizable street name: Tropicana.

To the occasional cloud covering over the MGM Grand that appears green.

To the “just because” drives from one end of the strip to the other.

To meaningful use of the word “local.”

To Sunrise Hospital that treated all of us so badly.

To all our friends at Silverado Ranch Target.

To having Uncle next door.

To leaving the place and memories of where I lost my Kahlua.

To knowing my pizza delivery guy at Papa John’s Pizza.

To the strange guys that live across the street.

To the stray cats that I have fed religiously for the last 2 years.

To bonding moments with my brother while shooting an AR.

To the Bellagio that holds more magic for me than words can express.

To one of the busiest airports in the world, McCarrren International.

To the place I all ready long to call home once again.

To the shit ass drivers who have forgotten how to use their blinkers and brakes.

To the woman at the DMV that gave me my driver’s test.

To Tony at Planet Hyundai who sold me my new car.

To the birth-Mom that has given me so much joy and just as equal in heart ache.

To living in Anthem.

To the dream of having my entire family live here.

To Sunset Station Buffet, Capriottis, and Memphis B.B.Q.

To the occasional drop of $5 in The Munsters slot machine.

To 118 degree summers.

To 5 hour drives back to California.

To the place I have called home for the last 2 ½ years. This town means so much but with all the joy and sorrow this city has brought, family means that much more. So, I say to you Las Vegas, Goodbye.
