Thank You & BlogWorld
Sometimes, people do something really awesome, sweet, rewarding, or deserving as this case may be that needs to be publicly recognized.
Today, that someone did something for me and I’m beyond myself excited about it that I couldn’t not blog my public “thank you” even though she’s already heard it and may never read my blog.
On Friday, I contacted IZEA/PayPerPost because I was reading information about having a registration number for PostieCon. I was freaked out, I don’t have a registration number and I’m gonna go crazy if I get to that registration desk and I can’t get in to PostieCon!
So off my e-mail went and it being Friday I knew I was not going to receive any information until Monday when they got back to the office.
Today, I checked my e-mail like it was a new-found religion and when my e-mail arrived from Britt about my registration number I had a huge sense of relief.
No need for a registration number, she’s got me a confirmed attendee. And hey, she knows I’m a [Las Vegas] local would I be interested in attending the BlogWorld Expo?
Are you kidding?
Do you even have to ask?
I would “LOVE LOVE LOVE” to go to BlogWorld. I just wasn’t going to pay the $99 to go for a “standard” registration.
It’s all good, IZEA has me covered.
Britt quickly responded with a coupon code to apply to my registration for BlogWorld that got me in FREE. You know, my favorite 4 letter word, FREE?
I’m in, I’m in!
So in addition to my over excitement to be attending PostieCon, I’ve added BlogWorld to the list of things to be excited about.
THANK YOU BRITT FOR THE HOOK-UP! YOU SO ROCK!
In other related news, I’m nervous.
After searching Technorati, Google, and BlogCatalog I haven’t come up with too many blogs that out right say “I’m going to PostieCon.”
Yeah, sure, there’s people and a few I have heard of but none that I would even think for a minute have any idea who I am.
I just may end up as the wallflower, listening and then running home.
To further exclude myself, I’m not going to the Blogger’s Choice Award ceremony at Tao afterwards. Here’s my reasonings for that:
- Zadey will be at home waiting for me.
- I’m not going to Tao alone, period.
- I’m not going to Tao without Joanne.
- You know, I’m just not the clubbin’ kind of girl, it’s not my scene.
So, with that I’m simply not going. The disappointment though is that I will probably not have the opportunity to get into such an upscale club again. You know, the one that Paris Hilton goes to (not that that’s a reason to go anywhere).
At any rate, I’m hoping that I’m more social and as welcomed by the popular bloggers as I hope to be. You never know, maybe just one person will say “hey, isn’t that the girl from I’m Blogging That?”
…laugh…
Yeah right, but that’s OK. That’ll be next year. …wink…
The sessions I’m attending at BlogWorld are all on Thursday as none appeared to be open on Friday although I may get there and find out something different.
Friday with no sessions I’ll still be attending the opening and closing speeches by the keynote speakers and hangin’ at home.
Saturday the day is spent at PostieCon!
I’m looking forward to it. Even had a 20 minute conversation with my brother Steve about my business cards, interesting I’m sure.
So, if you’re still thinking or know you’re going to BlogWorld and/or PostieCon, shoot me a note would ya? Lord knows I don’t play wallflower very well.
And if you don’t I’ll be the cute girl in the red hoodie t-shirt and jeans. Sweet, you’ll reconize me, I’m the tall one! …laugh…

I love PayPerPost. They talk to you like a person, and actually respond to e-mails (plus they actually pay on weekends, unlike BlogVertise :().
Have fun at PostieCon!!

Well, they don’t just talk to you like you’re a person they act like you and they are. While they may be a corporation they openly admit to being human… sounds strange but most companies don’t.
I also think what really helps them is the blog that so many of the employees post in. Brings them down to “our level” so to speak and let’s us see what’s really going on.
They’ve done a lot right which I’m sure is why they’re successful.

I completely and totally agree. I love reading their blog, especially now that they brought Mr. Fab into the mix, XD. That makes for some hilarious reading, especially with him trying to censor himself.
I hope they continue to be successful. They put all these other companies to shame.
