Better Networking

With the aftermath of the conferences still upon me I’ve decided to take in more social networking. Because it’s been around for quite awhile now doesn’t mean that I’m always involved and I want to be more and more.

The odd thing may be that while I’m a blogger and a faithful blogger at that, I may not always be social and that’s a downfall for me. Especially because I want to be and I want to be out there knowing the latest happenings and meeting with other people.

In particular I’d like to find more blogs that are like mine and more blogs that are for different niche topics that I can relate to.

The question is where to begin?

It seems that the available social networking sites out there just continue to grow and I feel amazing by the wide variety of ideas out there. From the same ‘ol same ‘ol to all the new stuff that enable you to do exactly what I want. . . find more people like me.

There’s chat sites and chat rooms, to creating profiles, catalogs, and listings. It’s ever growing and with all that I do as a work at home Mom I just wonder how come all of these things weren’t my idea?

So my question for you is, with all the choices out there for social networking what do you do? Where do you spend your time networking and chatting?

Drop me an e-mail or leave a comment and let me know. Who knows, maybe I really will get more involved and find the time to do so.

Most of my chatting and networking is spent on blogs, XD. I’m so pathetic when it comes to stuff like that. I’m shy as hell, and the internet is my way out from that. I can just start chatting without a problem.

Sarah » Yeah, I totally would not have pegged you as shy because you’re so not online.

Online or off, I cannot even come close to saying that I’m shy. The impression you get from me online is the same I give offline. For me though that’s all the more reason for me to network. I have no qualms about jumping into the middle of a conversation and getting myself seen! LMAO!

I’m shy and quiet at first, but once I get to know you (and usually doesn’t take long), I’m loud, straight-forward, and exactly how I come off online.

I’ve sort of fallen off the blogging bandwagon for a couple weeks, there’s just so much going on off line right now. But generally I really enjoy blog hopping - clicking random blog titles through profiles, ect. I always add my blog URL in profiles I create with Myspace, Yahoo Messenger, MSN, ect. As far as chatting… I don’t really do that. I used to but not so much now.

I’ve noticed! I hope your back at it again soon. :D

But I agree with you, I do the blog hoping thing but my problem is that even when I really enjoy a post I don’t always have something to say to make a comment. I need to work on that and find things to add to the “conversation” to just put myself out there more AND let those who I always read know I’ve been there.
