Guest Post on I’m Blogging That
One of the more fun ways to promote your blog and share your realm of expertise is by writing guest posts. I’ve mentioned it before, in passing about promoting your blog.
This morning I awoke to email asking me about guest posting. Not only to make a post for another blog about guest posting here on I’m Blogging That as well.
It occurred to me that while I have put the idea out there for others to guest post on other blogs, I hadn’t invited such an opportunity here at I’m Blogging That.
And while this will never be a multi-author blog, a fresh perspective on a wide range of subjects could do wonders for sparking inspiration and conversation from all of us (myself included).
So with that, I invite you to guest post for I’m Blogging That. The following is my specifications for guest posting. If you’re interested, feel free to submit an article to me for consideration.
Looking For:
You should have some knowledge about the subjects I post about on I’m Blogging That. Common and popular topics are: ranking systems (Alexa, PageRank, Technorati, IZEA), how-tos for blogging, web design, and WordPress tutorials.
The article submitted must be unique and not have been nor will be published anywhere else. This is critical!
Rules & Guidelines:
- 400 words minimum
- Images must be royalty-free with permission to use
- Spell check and use proper grammar
- No more than 2 affiliate links
- You may link to resources on other blogs (or I’m Blogging That)
- Do not critique the systems of others or “bash”
- You may include a short “about the author” bio that includes a link to your primary blog
- I reserve the right to edit/modify your submitted post

I’ve been thinking about the merits of guest blogging. It seems like a good way of introducing yourself to a new set of visitors. But I would be concerned that it might not be the best use of resources. Your thoughts?

I’ll consider it - I’ve recently sent in a guest post at another site that will be published on Monday, so I’ll see how my writing style fares on that site. Also, I seem to be running a bit short on time recently for some reason, heh.

I think I have an idea for a guest post. I’ll work on it and get it to you once I can get everything together. I have a big weekend project (oh and a little thing called Taxes), to get done

I have thought about doing this also, but I couldn’t compare to what you post on this blog! You are out of my league, girlie! LOL
But it does sound like something that would kind of fall along the lines as putting new paint up on a wall to freshen it up! I think I will have to give it some thought also.

BaldEagle » I believe that guest posting is the best way to maximize a blogger’s exposure and share their own wealth of information. While the exposure works best when writing for a blog in a similar niche, it does and can work across the board for all bloggers in any niche.
